On November 9th, the PEO Simcoe-Muskoka Chapter hosted its annual Fall P.Eng. Licence ceremony. A late-morning affair, the event included ten new Professional Engineers in the Simcoe-Muskoka Chapter receiving their P.Eng. licences. A special thanks to Attorney General Hon Doug Downey (MPP – Barrie, Springwater, Oro-Medonte) and Andrea Khanjin (MPP – Barrie, Innisfil) for joining the presentation to congratulate the recipients on this career milestone.

Three $1,000 scholarships were also awarded to some very worthy recipients attending their first year of engineering in universities across the province.

Finally, the attendees enjoyed a presentation from Sandro Perruzza, P.Eng., CEO of the Ontario Society for Professional Engineers who shared some thoughtful data on the “True Value of Engineers to Society”.
