‘Why Engineers Matter’ Event

On August 16, 2017 the PEO Simcoe-Muskoka Chapter  hosted an event with Marilyn Spink, P.Eng. in Collingwood, ON. Marilyn spoke about her experiences in the work force including several key projects in executing large, complex engineering projects in North America and Africa. Key points included what is means to lead and manage multi-discipline teams; what is “project governance”; why engineers should have a broad mindset of “public interest”; and summarized the roles of PEO and OSPE.

Overall, the evening was a great time of networking and gaining perspective from others. The Chapter would like to extend our thanks to Marilyn for coming to speak with us and to the Georgian Bay Hotel and Conference Center for hosting us.
